We're planning a race!
The Brave HEART Run will be located on the former Fort Richie military base, the race will be held in Cascade, MD...just 20 minutes from Frederick, MD and Hagerstown, MD, and 90 minutes from Baltimore and DC. The 5K course which is a loop that navigates through Fort Ritchie and past Lake Royer. Ft Richie is a 591 acre former Army post that contains two spring fed lakes, is pastoral and heavily wooded, with great views and over 50 historic stone buildings. This venue is now a private residential community so vehicular traffic will be minimal if at all. The course has minimal elevation and is not difficult.
The 5K course will be one loop. The 10K course will be 2 laps, so wave to your friends after lap one.
